This Santa is one of Gary's most requested caricatures. Gary walks you through a step-by-step process of how to create such a time honored carving. Starting from a roughout, he demonstrates how to detail Santa's hair and face. This caricature is not wearing the traditional Santa suit. Gary walks you through the process of how to make suspenders and buttons, as well as a shirt, pants and shoes. He finishes with a discussion of how to paint and finish this lovable Santa.
Gary has been a consistent blue ribbon winner at the International Woodcarving Congress, Dayton Artistry in Wood Show, and his home show at Dollywood. Gary won a Second Best of Show at the first CCA National Caricature Competition at Branson in 2002 and was the Best of Show winner in the 2003 CCA competition at Dollywood.
